NOTICE OF TAKING OF BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BANK STREET SEWER SEPARATION FOR THE CITY OF SABULA, IOWA.
Sealed proposals will be recieved by the City Clerk of the City of Sabula, Iowa in the office of the City Clerk at the City Hall, 411 Broad Street, Sabula, Iowa until 2:00 P.M. on the 10th day of March, 2022 for the construction of the Bank Street Sewer Separation, as described in the plans and specifications therefor, now on file in the office of the City Clerk. Proposals will be opened, and the amount of the bids announced in said Council Chambers by the City Clerk at the time and date specified above.
Also, at 6:30 P.M. on the 22nd day of March, 2022, the City Council of Sabula will, in the Council Chambers, act upon proopsals to designate the apparent low bidder. The Council will defer entereing into a contract for the construction of said improvements until concurrence is received by other governmental agencies.
The location of the work to be done and the kinds and sizes of materials proposed to be used are as follows:
BANK STREET SEWER SEPARATION
Construct Bank Street Sewer Extension including all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install approximately 110 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer, one 48" diameter manhole, excavation, subgrade preparation, erosion control, mobilization, and miscellaneous work, including cleanup.
Bidding documents may be examined at Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. 1800 5th Avenue, Rock Island, Illinois and at Sabula City Hall, 411 Broad Street, Sabula, Iowa. Copies of the Bidding documents may be obtained by Bidders and Sub-bidders at VEENSTRA & KIM, INC. 3000 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, Iowa 50266, 515/225-8000, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Electronic plans and specifications may be emailed to the contractor. Arrangements for emailing plans will be through VEENSTRA & KIMM, INC.
