Per the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities: A Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight, Friday, July 11th. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Due to the heavy rains last night, we had some flash flooding in town. The most affected areas were Lake Street, Broad Street and the south end of town. When there is flash flooding, we ask that you do NOT drive through flooded roadways. Be respectful to your neighbors and don't create waves.
